SupplementPicker Canada ("SupplementPicker", "we", "us") operates supplementpicker.ca, a free price-comparison service for supplements sold by independent Canadian retailers. We are based in Quebec, Canada. For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us at support@supplementpicker.ca. We collect information you provide directly: your email, and the name and profile picture your provider shares, when you sign in with Google or Facebook; your email when you sign in with a link we email you (we keep a record of that request for one day, and the link itself works once and expires after 15 minutes); your name and email when you write to us through the Contact page; your email and preferred language when you subscribe to our newsletter, and the name and picture shown with any Stack Builder guide you publish. We also collect information generated by your use of the service, such as saved favourites, price alerts, stacks you build, and which retailer links you click (with the page you clicked from, its language and your approximate country, never your account). To protect the service from abuse, some features (such as the contact form, newsletter sign-up and click counting) briefly record the IP address a request came from; these records are deleted automatically within a few days. We do not collect payment information; every purchase happens directly on the retailer's own website.
We use your information to operate your account, send the price alerts you set up, confirm your newsletter sign-up (we only send newsletters once you have confirmed it), respond to your messages, protect the service from abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
We rely on a small number of service providers to run SupplementPicker: Google and Meta (sign-in with Google or Facebook, if you choose it, and Meta's advertising pixel, only if you accept it), Cloudflare (hosting, database, and storage of the emails you give us for alerts or the newsletter), and Resend (sending the emails we send you, such as price alerts, sign-in links and newsletter confirmations, and delivering the messages you send through our Contact page). These providers may process data on servers located outside Quebec or Canada. Each is contractually bound to protect your information and use it only to provide their service to us.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service (for example, an active price alert). You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted connections, access controls) to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and, where applicable, the federal PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw your consent, and request deletion of your account. To exercise any of these rights, email support@supplementpicker.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Only if you accept advertising cookies in our cookie banner, we also use Meta Pixel (Facebook) for advertising measurement and retargeting: to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads, and to show you more relevant ones there. It stores identifiers in your browser (a cookie named _fbp, and the address of the last site that sent you here) and sends Meta the pages you view on this site, the products you open, the searches you run and the retailers you click through to. It stays off until you accept, and you can withdraw your consent at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page. We use no other advertising or analytics cookies.
SupplementPicker is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
